KIFISIA PENTHOUSE
This two-level penthouse in Kifisia, Athens, was conceived as a residential interior architecture project for a couple united by a shared affinity for the wild landscape of Mani and the spiritual heritage of Mystras. These distinct yet connected worlds informed the project’s narrative, where Byzantine references, deep blues, rugged textures and earthy Mani tones are woven into a cohesive spatial language.
Studio Vourli developed the interior direction and spatial concept as a deeply personal home shaped by memory, materiality and atmosphere. Rather than applying a decorative theme, the design translates landscape, heritage and emotional association into a restrained contemporary interior, balancing intimacy, depth and quiet sophistication.
Endemic vegetation, tactile surfaces and a grounded palette create a contemplative residential environment that feels both rooted and refined. The result is a Kifisia penthouse interior where cultural references are held with subtlety, allowing the home to carry personal meaning while remaining calm, elegant and lived-in.
